EV4EU work will be presented in the round table entitled: Applications of Flexibility in Planning and Operation at CIRED2023 (International Conference & Exhibition on Electricity Distribution) by Pedro Carvalho (Full Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico de Lisboa and Senior Researcher at INESC-ID).
The scope of this round table is to discuss flexibility applications. Power system flexibility is the ability to adapt to dynamic and changing conditions, for example, balancing supply and demand by the hour or minute, or deploying new generation and transmission resources over a period of years. Distribution Service Operators (DSOs) have to face the ability to manage changes, and to be able to improve the resilience characteristics of the grids, including planning and adequate operation.
