Τhe EV4EU project was part of two events in May, the MulTiSA 2024 workshop and the 9th HAEE Energy Transition Symposium, represented by Greek project partners from Public Power Corporation (PPC).
On May 13, EV4EU researcher George Papadakis presented the paper “Time Series Problems in the Energy Sector” acknowledging the project and co-authored by Christos Dalamagkas, Angelos Georgakis, Ioannis Papadopoulos and Kostas Hrissagis-Chrysagis. This presentation took place at the MulTiSA 2024 workshop, collocated with IEEE ICDE 2024, which was hosted in Utrecht, the Netherlands by the homonymous university.
The workshop brought together major companies generating voluminous time series through their operations, like Airbus and PPC, along with major academic institutions specialized in the management of time series, like TU Eindhoven and Aristotle University. Fruitful discussions followed the presentation, paving the way for future collaborations.
On May 23, George Papadakis delivered a talk titled “EV4EU: EV management for carbon neutrality in EU” at the 9th HAEE Energy Transition Symposium. The Conference, held from May 22 to 24, 2024, in Athens, Greece, brought together policy makers, startups, SMEs and industries working on renewables and the green energy, in general.
According to the EV4EU researcher, “the symposium gave us the opportunity to share EV4EU’s vision and work on V2X and to promote the open-source platform developed by PPC to numerous stakeholders in green energy innovation and technology”.
PPC has an essential role in the project regarding the V2X management chain. PPC is a major Charging Point Operation (CPO), managing a large network of more than 2,000 charging stations all over Greece. Leveraging this essential knowledge, the main role of PPC in EV4EU is the specification, design, and implementation of the Open V2X Management Platform (O-V2X-MP), a user-friendly charging station management system that integrates useful services and apps both for end users and CPOs to support the next generation of V2X.
