PPC presents EV4EU and joins EGVIAfor2Zero as a new member

On March 27th, members from the EV4EU project consortium Christina Papapostolou from the Public Power Corporation S.A. (PPC) and Matej Zajc from the University of Ljubljana (UL), attended the first annual EGVIAfor2Zero General Assembly, held onsite in Brussels.

The meeting began with the welcoming of seven new members to the EGVIAfor2Zero ecosystem, including PPC, the largest electric power company in Greece. With these additions, EGVIAfor2Zero now gathers 125 members committed to accelerating Europe’s transition to sustainable and innovative mobility.

The Towards zero emission road transport (2Zero) is a co-programmed Partnership funded under the Horizon Europe programme, aiming at accelerating the transition towards zero tailpipe emission road mobility across Europe.

As part of the afternoon session, the EV4EU project was presented by PPC’s Director of EU Funding Programmes, Christina Papapostolou, who highlighted the company’s role in the project and promoted its goals to the 2Zero community and the EU officials attending the meeting. The presentation was an opportunity to showcase EV4EU as one of the EU’s flagship projects for the deployment of electric vehicles and their integration into the energy system, highlightening its contribution to Europe’s clean mobility objectives.

The General Assembly also included the election of new co-leaders for each of the partnership’s four strategic pillars, who will represent the community in discussions with the European Commission. The 2nd Pillar – “Integration of BEVs into the energy system and related charging infrastructure” will now benefit from the participation of EV4EU researcher Matej Zajc (UL).

The General Assembly concluded with a look at upcoming activities, reinforcing the importance of a collective commitment by all members – now including PPC – towards a zero-emission mobility in Europe.
