
Between March 26th and 27th, EV4EU Project consortium member Electricidade dos Açores (EDA), welcomed the Green Overseas Programme Delegation to São Miguel Island, Azores. During the visit, EDA showcased its ongoing work in sustainable mobility, with a special focus on the EV4EU project. The two-day event “GO Energy Transition Community (ETC) Sustainable Transport and Mobility Workshop” was held in São Miguel, where the Portuguese demonstrators of the EV4EU project are currently being tested.
The workshop served as a platform to exchange knowledge, discuss best practices, and highlight innovative approaches to accelerating the transition to sustainable transport in island and overseas territories.
Funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France, the Green Overseas Program, aims to contribute to the sustainable, resilient and inclusive development of European and British overseas countries and territories.
During the event, the EV4EU project was presented by Carlos Martins, Senior Innovation Project Manager at EDA, who showcased the results of EDA’s V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) charging infrastructure project. In his presentation he emphasized the progress made within the EV4EU project, highlighting how these innovations are helping to balance the grid, improve energy efficiency, and support increased renewable energy deployment.
