EV4EU Consortium met in Bornholm for the 7th General Assembly

The latest edition of the EV4EU General Assembly (GA) was held on Campus Bornholm in Denmark on May 6 and 7, hosted by Bornholms Energi & Forsyning (BEOF).

Five months after the previous General Assembly, which took place in Lisbon and was hosted by INESC ID in January, this meeting brought together 30 members of the consortium to discuss recent progress on the project’s four Demonstrators, reflect on key achievements, and define goals for the final months of the project.

As usual, the meeting began with a round of presentations, starting with an overview of dissemination and management progress by INESC ID. This was followed by dedicated one-hour sessions focused on each of the project’s demonstrations in Portugal, Slovenia, Greece, and Denmark.

Current efforts are centered on the Demonstrators and on advancing the development of exploitation and innovation strategies, as partners begin shaping concrete plans to maximize the impact and application of the project’s results. The project has now reached a mature stage where all partners are focused on defining concrete strategies for the exploitation of EV4EU results.

The emphasis is on articulating how the developed services, tools, and technologies will be used, and how they clearly demonstrate the innovative nature of the solutions developed in EV4EU, as well as how their impact will be conveyed to the public and to the European Commission.

As part of this focus, the morning of Day 2 featured a session with updates to the project’s exploitation and innovation strategies, building on progress from the Booster Services – a collaborative support initiative designed to help EU-funded project researchers maximize their project’s impact and real-world application.

In addition, the day included a working session on the templates for innovation and exploitation, where partners had the opportunity to study the framework and explore the interconnections between KPIs, key exploitable results, and innovation. In recent months, the EV4EU project has benefited from this support and is now applying these learnings to update its Exploitation & Innovation plans, including the development of a market definition strategy and a business plan.

Led by SEL (Exploitation Task) and GEN-I (Innovation Task), the session provided valuable insights into how both partner institutions, with the support of the entire consortium, plan to implement strategies in the coming months to explore the project innovative solutions and key exploitable results

Following the session, participants enjoyed a tour across Bornholm, where they visited several cutting-edge EU-supported utility projects, highlighting the island’s role as a living lab for sustainable and innovative energy solutions.

The next General Assembly is planned to take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in six months.
