EV4EU was one of the projects highlighted in this week’s episode of CNN Inovação, a Portuguese television programme focused on groundbreaking science, technology, and ideas that are shaping the future.
This episode offered an in-depth look at the cutting-edge research conducted by the Portuguese R&D institute INESC-ID and its commitment to promoting societal impact through research and innovation. It featured insights from Inês Lynce, President of the Board of Directors at INESC-ID, and highlighted two major research initiatives – one of them being the EV4EU project.
Hugo Morais, project coordinator at INESC-ID, was one of two researchers interviewed and shared an overview of the work being developed under the Horizon Europe project.
“Electric mobility is a critical factor to help European governments achieve carbon neutrality. It is currently undergoing a revolution, with a transition from combustion vehicles to electric vehicles. This shift brings numerous challenges. The goal of EV4EU is to develop solutions to overcome these challenges and enable an widespread adoption by users , developing solutions that are technically viable, grid-integrated, and that equip municipalities with the necessary tools to plan cities management considering electric mobility.”
