The V2X Cluster, a joint initiative that brings together a group of Horizon Europe sister projects in the field of electric mobility, met on June 13th at the POLIS Network headquarters in Brussels for a collaborative working session.
This meeting marked a new milestone in the Cluster’s ongoing mission to promote electric mobility and accelerate the adoption of Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technologies across Europe.
The session focused on two key working groups — Business Models and Battery Degradation — with representatives from each project sharing updates and strategic directions. From the EV4EU consortium, Matej Zajc (University of Ljubljana) participated in person and Cindy P.Gúzman (INESC ID) joined online.
EV4EU presented its progress in developing business models tailored to its selected use cases, along with its methodology for evaluating the performance of the project’s four demonstrators using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The project also shared updates on its research into battery degradation and ongoing electric vehicle data collection, which are critical for assessing the long-term impacts of V2X integration.
Until today, the V2X Cluster included five Horizon Europe sister projects — EV4EU, SCALE, DriVe2X, FLOW Project and XL-CONNECT — and now welcomed three new members: AHEAD, Neverflat, and ePowerMove. Each of these new projects presented their initial plans, focus areas, and potential contributions to the Cluster’s collaborative work.

Counting on the expertise of these eight EU projects and their consortiums, the Cluster aims to serve as a key platform for joint efforts around V2X charging, regulatory frameworks, and the challenges cities face in developing and implementing smart charging infrastructure.
The V2X Cluster meets regularly with the next gathering being planned for September.
