EV4EU takes University of Ljubljana Students to visit ABB Inženiring

A group of  students  together with professor Matej Zajc from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana (UL) visited, on March 21st, ABB Inženiring facilities – an EV4EU project partner – for a hands-on learning experience in the field of e-mobility and electric vehicle (EV) charging.

At ABB Inženiring headquarters, the students were welcomed by Matjaž Jug , who hosted a session on the rapidly evolving EV landscape in both Slovenia and across Europe. ABB Inženiring is part of the ABB group which is a global leader in  EV charging technology. Under the project the company is one of the partners, responsible for supplying demo V2G chargers for EV4EU demonstration sites in Slovenia.

During the visit, EV4EU researchers Tim Marentič and Dušan Golubović presented the objectives of the Slovenian EV4EU demonstrator, highlighting the roles of Slovenian partners GEN-I, Elektro Celje, University of Ljubljana and ABB Inženiring. The group of students got insights into the technologies and infrastructure , as well as a broader vision of the work being developed under the EV4EU project.

Overall, the visit provided students with a deeper understanding of the importance of academia–industry collaboration, highlighting EV4EU’s commitment to building strong partnerships capable of shaping the future of electric mobility.
