On the weekend of May 24th and 25th, all roads led to the Oeiras Science Festival in Oeiras, Portugal. The atmosphere was electric as the EV4EU team joined the event to showcase the project and its research in electric mobility.
The project team from the Sustainable Power Systems (SPS) Group at INESC-ID was part of the Técnico | INESC-ID booth, alongside other innovative research initiatives. The team showcased the work being developed under the EV4EU Project with visitors willing to explore the future electric mobility.
The major highlight of the EV4EU booth was the activity “Discovering Electric Mobility!”, where visitors were invited to answer to an interactive quiz on electric mobility to test their knowledge on the subject.
Over the course of both days, the EV4EU team – Marcelo Braço Forte, Cindy P. Gúzman, Larissa Montefusco, Tomás Glória and Guilherme Pereira – led the activity while raising awareness about the important role of electric vehicles in shaping a cleaner, smarter world.

By the end of the event, the quiz had collected 114 responses from both children and adults. All participants who successfully completed the entire questionnaire, got the chance to win one of the three miniature electric cars.
These two days provided an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of electric mobility in building a more sustainable future, while also highlighting the innovative solutions being developed through the EV4EU Project.
The first edition of the Oeiras Science Festival was dedicated to the broader theme of Artificial Intelligence with a mix of hands-on activities, talks, and exhibitions, with contributions from over 80 speakers and dedicated spaces for children, students, educators, and science enthusiasts.
