The EV4EU project was part of the 2024 edition of Enlit Europe, one of the leading conferences and exhibitions in Europe. Held from October 22-24 in Milan, this year’s event set a new record by bringing together 15,000 energy experts from across the energy sector.
From day one onwards, visitors had the chance to connect with the project’s coordination team: Ana Rita Nunes, Project Manager at INESC ID, and Hugo Morais, EV4EU Coordinator. Both were available at the INESC ID stand in the EU Projects Zone to discuss the project’s mission and progress.
On the first day, several EV4EU partners who were participating at the event came by the booth including partners from Smart Energy LAB, Rui Martins and João Wang; and from HEDNO, Ilias Manitaris, project researcher who was at the stand to showcase the Institution’s contribution to the Greek Demonstrator on both 22nd and 23rd October.
In the afternoon of the first day, the project was part of the Session “Sustainable Transport Integration into the Grid”, with Hugo Morais as speaker. Morais joined speakers from other European projects, including Gonçalo Mendes from the DriVe2X project that is part of the V2X Cluster together with EV4EU, and Fernando David Martin Utrilla from BeFlexible.
The discussion panel focused on the integration of electric vehicles into the grid also counted on: Fabiola Roccatagliata, Laurent Schmitt, Mugur George PAUNESCU and Antonio Iliceto, Co-Chair – ETIP SNET.
The second day continued with visits and discussions at the booth. From the project consortium, HEDNO researcher Ilias Manitaris joined again the team to showcase what is being developed under EV4EU’s Greek demonstrator.
Throughout the day, the team welcomed other partners such as Sónia Sampaio from the Smart Energy LAB, along with former EV4EU colleague Alexios Lekidis, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the project.
The last day of Enlit Europe provided one final opportunity for visitors to engage with the EV4EU team. Overall EV4EU’s participation at ENLIT Europe 2024 was an excellent opportunity to showcase the project’s goals and connect with a broader audience. The project was able to share the milestones already achieved, namely the development of several V2X management tools for houses, buildings, parking lots and EV fleet by small companies.
With less than a year to come, the project consortium is confident of the results to be achieved and committed to reaching the defined milestones.
