On April 9 and 10th, as part of the ICT Day event at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, EV4EU-related activities were presented as part of a broader showcase focused on the green transition and digital solutions for sustainable development. Over the course of two days, the event welcomed students, journalists and high school students.
The EV4EU-related presentation highlighted the links between e-mobility, power systems and V2X technologies, showing how electric vehicles can evolve from being only an additional load to becoming an active element of a more flexible and stable energy system. Visitors could also learn more about ongoing research and demonstration activities carried out together with project partners.
In addition to the exhibition stand, researcher Tim Marentič delivered a short pitch on the challenges and opportunities of the green transition, with a particular focus on e-mobility, grid integration and the role of researchers in European innovation projects such as EV4EU. Demonstrations of local flexibility market concepts and ICT-based visualisations in which students were engaged, further helped bring these topics closer to the audience.
The event offered a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of EV4EU among young people and the broader public serving as a small open event, while also showcasing how research, education and practical demonstration activities can jointly support the transition towards a more sustainable energy future.
